Birch Coffee Table
This table is based on a hacienda pine style coffee table I saw online. Probably the most interesting thing about this table is that the top and sides are all made from wood from the tree we took down in the front yard.
The tree was removed from our front yard and then a friend turned it into planks. The wood was dried for 3 years and then mad into small boards and glued up. The base is solid birch as well. The sides are jointed with large box joints and then pinned. The sides and base are finished with milk paint with a clear flat top coat and the top is finished with a wiping varnish - all from General Finishes. The rusty hardware was purchased online and sealed with Penetrol. The feet are pine bun feet and were purchased locally.
